2018 Bing Wallder Shield
Last weekend the 3rd and 4th November the annual Bing Wallder Shield and Officials Trophy was played between the six Districts from the Zone 8 Bowls Association area being Albury, Riverina, Southern Highlands, South Western, Southern Slopes and Wagga.
At the end of day 1 Riverina were leading from Albury.
On Sunday it all came down to game 5 with any one of the six Districts in contention to win the shield. In the end it was the guile, experience and a bit of local knowledge of playing at home that got Wagga District over the line for a threepeat by winning the shield for the third year in a row.
